Castle Blood

Castle Blood is in a funeral home at 100 Schoonmaker Avenue in Monessen, about a century old, roughly a 40-minute drive south of downtown. The evening tour is a story you walk through. The characters give you a small game to solve on the way. A ticket is $25, and they ask you to buy a timed ticket ahead so you are not in the general line.

The October schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7 to 10 p.m., for the evening tour. Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m., is the same route as a trick-or-treat matinee: the game stays, and the scare stops are swapped for candy stops. Children can wear costumes to the matinee. Parking is free, in the lot and on the street. The show runs rain or shine. The season they post on the schedule page is October.
