Phantom Fall Fest is Kennywood’s fall season, at the park in West Mifflin. It is a show. The park is open on the dates below, Friday night only and Saturday and Sunday from noon. After 6 the actors are out: seven walk-through haunts and four scare zones. Before 6 on Saturday and Sunday the rides are running and, from September 19, there is trick-or-treat inside Ghostwood with the lights on.

Ghostwood Estate is the park’s dark ride. On an ordinary day you ride through it in a buggy and shoot at figures with a light gun. This year the same rooms are also a walk, on foot, with a flashlight, and the actors are in there with the machines. That walk is the new haunt. Daytime trick-or-treat uses the same place with the lights on, and it is meant for children.

The posted hours are Friday 6 p.m. to 11, Saturday noon to 11, and Sunday noon to 10. September 13 is closed. The first posted night is Friday, September 11, then Saturday the 12th, and after that the Friday-through-Sunday pattern through Sunday, November 1. Tickets are priced by the date. Guests 17 and under are expected with a chaperone who is 21 or older. Kiddieland rides on Saturday and Sunday run until 6.
