Soergel Orchards

Soergel Orchards is at 2573 Brandt School Road in Wexford, just off the northbound Wexford exit of Interstate 79. The family has farmed the ground since 1850, when John Conrad Soergel planted the first apples. The market, the bakery, the garden center, and Arsenal Cider House are all on the property. Walking in is free. You pay for what you pick, and for the tractor if you ride it.

Fall Fest this year starts the weekend of September 19 and 20 and runs through November 1. Saturday is 10 to 5. Sunday is 11 to 5. On weekdays through that same stretch, pumpkin and flower picking is noon to 5. The store itself is open 9 to 6 every day, festival or not. Which apples are on the trees changes by the week, so the morning of a visit is when to check. On a busy Saturday the lot fills and cars park at Orchard Hill Church next door.
